Ajpop Walter Killed in Brooklyn E-Scooter Accident
20-year-old rider struck by vehicle on 14th Avenue in Dyker Heights
Ajpop Walter, 20, of Brooklyn, was killed in an e-scooter crash on 14th Avenue near 77th Street in Dyker Heights, New York, on Wednesday, according to police.
The southbound 2012 Toyota Sienna struck the rider, who was driving in the same direction, at approximately 5:16 p.m. The 56-year-old driver remained at the scene following the collision.
No charges were filed. Paramedics rushed Walter to Maimonides Medical Center, where he died later that day.
The fatal collision occurred just one day after a 45-year-old woman was killed while riding an e-scooter in Crown Heights when she was struck by a dump truck.
The crash remains under investigation.
