Balwinder Kaur, 69, of Yuba City, was killed in a pedestrian crash on North Colusa Frontage Road on May 18, according to the Yuba City Police Department.
Officers arriving at the 2600 block found the victim unresponsive in a nearby ditch after being thrown approximately 50 feet by the impact. A walker was recovered at the scene. Paramedics initiated life-saving measures, including CPR, before transporting Kaur to a local hospital. She was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the SUV remained at the crash site. No charges have been filed. The crash remains under investigation by local authorities, who are interviewing the motorist.
