Demeatrice Askew Killed in Rome Motorcycle Accident
The fatal collision occurred at the intersection of Glover Street and Branham Avenue
Demeatrice Deshawn C. Askew, 34, of Adairsville, was killed in a motorcycle crash at the corner of Glover Street and Branham Avenue in Rome, Georgia, on Aug. 7, according to police.
Christina Cammon, 45, of Rome, was charged with second-degree homicide by vehicle and a stop sign violation following the fatal collision. Arrest warrants indicate the driver of the Toyota Corolla ran a stop sign, causing the crash.
Askew died after his motorcycle and the Corolla collided near Lovejoy Baptist Church.
The crash remains under investigation.
