National Legal Analyst Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal, noted that "While no amount of money can replace a lost loved one, the importance of contacting and securing a wrongful death lawyer cannot be stressed enough. It is a wrongful death attorney’s duty to assist families whose lives have been suddenly impacted. Our goal is to help those affected to ultimately assist in establishing normalcy after an untimely death."
In California, survivors of a fatal motorcycle accident may be entitled to a wrongful death claim to seek compensation for funeral expenses, loss of future income, and loss of companionship. When a driver enters opposing lanes to pass another vehicle, it often establishes a clear breach of the duty of care. Understanding the legal aftermath of a head-on collision requires a detailed understanding of California Vehicle Code and insurance liability. Families who have lost a loved one in such circumstances should consult a legal professional.
