Judy C. Downs, 78, of Elba, was killed in a head-on car accident on Alabama Highway 189 near Elba on Friday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
The northbound truck crossed paths with a passenger car near mile marker 20, resulting in a direct frontal collision that heavily damaged both vehicles.
Downs was pronounced dead at the scene by the Coffee County Coroner's Office.
Paramedics airlifted the 19-year-old driver of the second vehicle to a Montgomery trauma center for treatment of severe injuries.
