A Ford pickup truck and two Chevrolet Equinox SUVs were all traveling north when they collided at approximately 6 p.m.

Rone was taken to St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The drivers of the other two vehicles and a 5-year-old passenger were not hurt.

Victims like Rone often face unexpected medical bills and a difficult recovery process after a multi-vehicle collision. While the exact sequence of events at the interchange is still being determined, independent investigations are frequently necessary to establish liability and uncover the root cause of a pileup.

"In addition to the diligent work of law enforcement, an attorney can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from a crash scene, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party," said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. "Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide an injured client during this difficult time, as well as protect their legal rights and best interests."

Multi-vehicle crashes at highway interchanges often involve complex liability scenarios, including following too closely, distracted driving, or failing to yield the right of way. When multiple drivers are involved, insurance adjusters frequently attempt to shift blame to minimize payouts.

"It is vital for victims to hire an attorney when filing a personal injury claim, which allows them to negotiate with an insurance company on behalf of a client," said Stefano Formica, of Bond Legal. "Insurance companies often try to pressure victims to settle for a quick payout for far less than the case is worth. However, an attorney will vigorously advocate for their client to ensure that they are treated with respect and compensated fairly."

Minnesota follows a modified comparative fault (51% bar) system. The statute of limitations is 6 years — one of the longest in the nation.

Damages include economic and non-economic losses.
