Ziana Wilson Killed in Ardmore ATV Accident
Driver faces aggravated DUI and reckless driving charges following deadly weekend collision
Ziana Wilson, 20, of Wilson, was killed in an ATV crash on a private drive off Springdale Road in Ardmore on May 17, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
Troopers arrested a 20-year-old Ardmore woman on suspicion of aggravated DUI, causing a collision resulting in bodily injury, reckless driving, and driving with an open container. The side-by-side vehicle turned off the main road just after midnight, left the path, and crashed into a tree. Paramedics airlifted the passenger, Wilson, to Medical City Hospital in Plano, Texas. She was pronounced dead hours later.
The driver was treated at the scene for minor injuries before being taken to jail.
The crash remains under investigation.
