All 10 were passengers on the pedal tavern, and six remained at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in stable condition Friday morning, police said.
How the Demonbreun Street Crash Unfolded
Police said a westbound Toyota RAV4 rear-ended the pedal tavern at about 8:30 p.m. near 1033 Demonbreun Street. Ten of the 13 people riding the pedal tavern were hurt, and police said they were between 40 and 67 years old and came from places including Illinois, Missouri, Louisiana and India. Neither the RAV4's driver nor the person operating the pedal tavern was injured. The injured were taken to Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown, TriStar Centennial Medical Center, TriStar Skyline Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center, police said. One patient was in critical condition overnight but had improved by Friday morning, according to police.
What Metro Nashville Police Are Doing Next
The crash remains under investigation, and police said they plan to speak with the RAV4 driver. Police said they will review video footage from the pedal tavern and then consult the district attorney about possible charges. No charges have been announced. The scene was expected to stay closed for several hours Thursday night while officers worked.

Here is what people in Tennessee usually need, in the order it comes up.
Emergency care. Emergency rooms must check and stabilize you, even if you can't pay. The bill comes later.
Your vehicle. Tow yards usually charge for every day a towed vehicle sits there.
Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
Insurance offer. You can turn down the insurer's first offer and ask for more.
