David Gates Charged in Dare County Car Accident

David Gates, 43, was charged after a four-car collision on U.S. Highway 64 near Deep Bay Road in Dare County, North Carolina, on April 8. North Carolina State Highway Patrol officers assisted with the collision. Patrol officers reported that Gates was driving on U.S. 64 when he attempted to pass the car in front of him. While doing so, Gates collided with a truck traveling in the opposite direction on U.S. 64.
