"While e-scooters are meant to be a fun and convenient option, accidents frequently result in severe injuries," said Candice Bond, Managing Partner at Bond Legal. "These devices are convenient, but the small wheels make them much less stable on standard city streets."

What are the risks of nighttime e-scooter riding in Beckham County?

The 9:05 p.m. collision highlights the vulnerability of micromobility users sharing high-speed corridors with passenger vehicles. Visibility is a critical factor in rear-end collisions.

"While e-scooters are meant to be a fun and convenient option, accidents frequently result in severe injuries. Head injuries are the main reason riders end up in the emergency room..." said Stefano Formica, Of Bond Legal.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol continues to gather evidence from the scene.
