Heaven Hooper Killed in Long Beach Hit-and-Run Accident

Heaven Hooper, 49, was killed after being struck by a vehicle. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner identified Heaven Hooper as the victim.
Officers were dispatched to the area at approximately 3:55 a.m. on Sunday at Ninth Street and Fashion Avenue. Long Beach Fire Department personnel were rendering medical aid to Hooper when police arrived.
Hooper was taken to a hospital, where she died from her injuries. The Long Beach Police Department was informed of the fatality by Wednesday.
A preliminary investigation indicates a white Toyota Tacoma was traveling westbound on Ninth Street when it struck Hooper, who was in the roadway outside of a crosswalk. The Toyota Tacoma fled the scene.
