A northbound 2014 Chevrolet Camaro struck the pedestrian in the outside lane at approximately 8:35 p.m. The 66-year-old driver of the car remained at the scene.

Lake County Fire Rescue and Leesburg Fire Department paramedics treated the victim before transporting him to UF Health Leesburg Hospital. He later died from his injuries.
