Nigel Jamar Ramsey, 35, of Birmingham, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Crestwood Boulevard near Frederick Street in Birmingham, Alabama, on Tuesday, according to police.
The collision occurred at approximately 3:26 p.m. when the motorcycle and a passenger vehicle crashed. The impact left the rider with critical injuries, prompting an immediate emergency response. Paramedics rushed Ramsey to UAB Hospital for emergency medical treatment. He was later pronounced dead by the Jefferson County Coroner’s office.
Birmingham police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the wreck. Authorities have not released the name of the other driver or indicated if any charges are pending.
The road was temporarily restricted while investigators examined the scene.
