What is the status of the Moss Landing DUI investigation?
Authorities suspect alcohol played a role in the wrong-way collision, though official toxicology reports are pending. In crashes involving suspected impairment, investigators typically examine blood alcohol content, vehicle event data recorders, and timeline evidence from the hours preceding the crash.
Insurance adjusters often contact injured parties within days of a crash, before the full extent of medical costs and long-term impacts are known.
According to National Legal Analyst Stefano Formica, Of Counsel at Bond Legal. "An attorney can collect the proper evidence to help prove that a driver’s actions were reckless, which requires a variety of resources. Your lawyer can re-interview important witnesses, analyze any surveillance video from a crash scene, and obtain phone and texting records of the liable party. Serving as an advocate, an attorney can help compassionately guide a victim during this difficult time, while vigorously protecting their legal rights and best interests."
How do wrong-way crashes impact victims?
Head-on collisions frequently result in severe trauma due to the combined speed of both vehicles at the point of impact. The passengers of the Honda Accord suffered major injuries requiring extensive medical intervention.
