David E. Hopkins, 35, of Mobile, Alabama, died April 12, after two cars hit his bicycle on Highway 611 in Jackson County, the Mississippi Highway Patrol said.
Hopkins was riding north on Highway 611 when two northbound vehicles struck him around 5 a.m.
The cars were identified as a Honda Accord and a Toyota Camry.
Authorities pronounced Hopkins dead at the scene.
The drivers of the Honda and the Toyota were not injured, police said. Their names have not been released.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. Troopers are examining road conditions, visibility, and driver actions to determine the cause.
