The fatal collision occurred in the 36600 block of Pacific Highway South
Vinny Todd Buttafuoco, 41, was killed in a pedestrian crash in the 36600 block of that highway early Sept. 6, according to the Federal Way Police Department.
Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene after he suffered multiple blunt force injuries. The northbound vehicle struck Buttafuoco at approximately 5:46 a.m. while he was walking in the northbound lanes. The driver of the vehicle showed no signs of impairment, police said.
The department's major accident investigation team responded to the crash. Nobody else was injured in the collision.
The collision remains under investigation.
