Cash Allen Rinker Killed in Eaton Car Accident
The 20-year-old was one of three recent high school graduates who died in the rollover crash
Cash Allen Rinker, 20, of Eaton, was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Weld County Road 80 in Northern Colorado on Saturday, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
The Chevrolet Tahoe left the road and rolled multiple times, ejecting all five passengers from the vehicle. Two other passengers died at the scene. The 20-year-old driver from Wyoming suffered critical injuries and was airlifted to a local hospital. A fifth passengers suffered minor injuries.
Eaton High School officials released a statement expressing deep sadness over the tragedy, noting that four of the individuals involved were recent graduates of the Class of 2025. The district offered condolences to the affected families and classmates.
According to the Colorado Department of Transportation, the state recorded 689 traffic deaths in 2024, with speed and lane violations frequently cited as major causes.
Troopers are investigating speed as a potential factor in the wreck.
