Dean McCain Killed in Colorado Springs Motorcycle Accident
The 20-year-old rider died following a collision with a pickup truck at Dublin and North Union Boulevards
Dean McCain, 20, was killed in a motorcycle crash at the corner of Dublin and North Union Boulevards on July 5, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.
The northbound motorcycle collided with a westbound pickup truck at the intersection just before 10 p.m., investigators said. Paramedics took McCain to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. He later died despite medical intervention, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office reported.
The Major Crash Team is investigating the collision.
Detectives are examining whether speed played a role in the crash.
Colorado motorcycle death reached a record 165 in 2024, marking a 22% increase from the previous year, according to state transportation data. El Paso County frequently records the highest number of fatal motorcycle crashes in the state.
