Multi-vehicle collision at Iris Avenue leaves three others critically injured
David Betts, 65, of Menifee, was killed in a four-vehicle crash at Iris Avenue and Lasselle Street in Moreno Valley on Aug. 28, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.
Responding deputies found four vehicles with major damage scattered across the intersection just before 8 p.m. Paramedics rushed four people to a local hospital in critical condition. Betts later died from his injuries. The circumstances leading up to the multi-vehicle collision remain under investigation. Authorities have not determined whether alcohol or drugs played a role.
No arrests have been made.
