Jaime Moroyoqui Killed in Victorville Pedestrian Accident
The fatal collision occurred early Sunday morning near First Avenue
Jaime Moroyoqui, 44, was killed in a pedestrian crash on Silica Drive near First Avenue in Victorville, California, early Sunday morning, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
An eastbound black sedan struck Moroyoqui at approximately 4 a.m. The driver stopped immediately and remained at the scene to speak with deputies. Paramedics transported the Victorville resident to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment of critical injuries. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
The Victorville Police Department is investigating the cause of the collision.
No charges have been announced.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), 1,090 pedestrians were killed in California traffic crashes in 2024.
