Joel Ellestad Killed in DeKalb Car Accident
The head-on collision occurred on U.S. Highway 259 in Bowie County
Joel Ellestad, 22, was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 259 near DeKalb, Texas, on July 11, according to the Department of Public Safety.
A northbound Nissan Altima crossed into the southbound lane and struck the Dodge Charger that the victim was riding in. Ellestad was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other passengers in the Charger, along with the at-fault driver of the Altima, were also killed in the collision.
The crash remains under investigation.
No further details have been released.
