Jose Ramos Killed in Highway 41 Collision in Kings County

Five people died after a southbound pickup truck crossed into oncoming traffic on Highway 41 in Kings County.
Jose Ramos, 35, of Oakdale, and four other people died in a head-on collision on Highway 41 near York Avenue in Kings County on Sunday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a southbound 2015 Chevrolet Silverado was attempting to pass slower-moving traffic when it struck Ramos’ northbound 2022 Toyota Prius.
The crash caused the truck to overturn and become engulfed in flames.
Ramos died at the scene. The driver of the Silverado and three passengers in that vehicle also died.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the truck's occupants. The crash remains under investigation.
