The 47-year-old Apple Valley resident died after his motorcycle collided with a sedan at Choiceana Avenue
Pablo A. Hermoso, 47, of Apple Valley, was killed and his passenger was injured in a motorcycle crash at Choiceana Avenue and Live Oak Street in Hesperia, California, on Thursday, according to the Sheriff's Department.
Paramedics transported both riders to local hospitals with major injuries, where the man, Hermoso, later died. The silver Infiniti sedan sustained heavy passenger-side damage and deployed side-curtain airbags, while the blue Yamaha motorcycle suffered catastrophic front-end damage.
Investigators determined the motorcycle was driving northbound on a road with no stop signs when it collided with the sedan in the intersection. Traffic on the intersecting street is controlled by a two-way stop.
The driver of the sedan remained at the scene and is cooperating with deputies.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hesperia Sheriff's Station.

While the cause and liability of a crash are being investigated, authorities noted that traffic on Live Oak Street is controlled by stop signs, whereas Choiceana Avenue is not. In motorcycle accidents such as this, investigators carefully review right-of-way violations and intersection geometry.
