A 75-year-old woman was critically injured in a pedestrian crash in a shopping mall parking lot in Kahala, in Honolulu, on October 27, according to the Honolulu Police Department.
What Happened in the Kahala Parking Lot
Police said the collision took place around 5:03 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Police said a car driven by a 74-year-old man was heading north through the private lot when it struck the woman. EMS crews took her to a nearby medical facility, and she was listed in critical condition. Police said the driver stayed at the scene and was not hurt.
Where the Honolulu Police Investigation Stands
The Honolulu Police Department said the investigation is ongoing. Police said speed, drugs and alcohol did not appear to have played a part in the collision. No charges have been announced, and the names of those involved have not been released.
Police usually wait to release the names of the people involved until their families have been told. That is why names often come out a day or more later.
