The 21-year-old died after the motorcycle rear-ended an SUV and she was struck by a third vehicle
Sariah Isabelle Miranda, 21, of Manchester, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Interstate 384 East late Friday, according to the State Police.
The collision remains under investigation by state troopers, who are working to determine why the motorcycle rear-ended a Chevrolet Equinox around 11:20 p.m. The impact threw both the driver and his passenger onto the highway. While sliding across the pavement, Miranda was struck by a third vehicle.
A third-party vehicle transported both riders to a local hospital. Miranda was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The 22-year-old motorcycle driver suffered minor injuries.
The drivers of the Equinox and the third vehicle were not injured.
Investigators are asking anyone with dashboard camera footage of Friday's crash to contact Trooper First Class John Wilson.
Motorcycle deaths in the state reached a multi-decade high recently, with the Department of Transportation reporting 65 such deaths in 2022 and 76 in 2024.
