Two 15-year-old boys were injured, one seriously, in a motorcycle crash on Larkfield Road in East Northport on Oct. 26, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
How the Larkfield Road Motorcycle Crash Unfolded
Police said the teens were riding an electric motorcycle north on the sidewalk outside a Wendy's. Police said a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis was pulling out of the restaurant's lot at about 9:45 p.m. when the two collided. Police described the motorcycle as an electric limited use Class A model. The passenger on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. The motorcycle's driver had minor injuries and was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital. The 33-year-old East Northport man driving the car was not hurt and stayed at the scene.
Where the Suffolk County Police Investigation Stands
Police said the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been announced. The names of the two teens have not been released.
Many newer cars keep a short record of the moments around a crash. Investigators may download that data, and making sense of it can take weeks.

Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
