How the OK-125 Car Crash Unfolded

Troopers said the collision took place at about 3:30 p.m., where OK-125 meets E. 300 Road. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Talbott was heading north when he failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the road. The patrol said the vehicle then veered left, rolled a quarter of the way over and ended up on its driver's side. Talbott was the only person named in the crash, and the patrol reported that he was injured.

Help for people affected by a crash is below.

What the Highway Patrol Says Could Change

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the information it has obtained about the crash is subject to change. The patrol has not announced any charges. It has not released further details about Talbott's condition.

Which agency investigates often depends on where the crash happened. Highway crashes are often handled by state police or highway patrol, and crashes on city streets by local officers.

Affected by an accident like this?

Here is what people in Oklahoma usually need, in the order it comes up.

  1. Emergency care. Emergency rooms must check and stabilize you, even if you can't pay. The bill comes later.

  2. Your vehicle. Tow yards usually charge for every day a towed vehicle sits there.

  3. Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.

  4. Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.

  5. Insurance offer. You can turn down the insurer's first offer and ask for more.
