Ali Almheimid Killed in Grimes County Car Accident

The three-vehicle collision occurred west of Thane Road, between Anderson and Navasota.
Ali Almheimid, 31, died in a three-vehicle accident Thursday morning on State Highway 90 west of Thane Road. The crash occurred between Anderson and Navasota, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Emergency crews responded to the scene. Almheimid was pronounced dead. Two passengers from his vehicle were injured. One was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in College Station. The other went to St. Joseph Regional Health Center with minor injuries.
The driver of the F-150 had minor injuries. This driver was taken to St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Navasota. The 18-wheeler driver was treated at the scene and then released.
Almheimid's 2019 Ford F-250 was traveling westbound. It crossed into the eastbound lane while approaching a curve. It then struck an 18-wheeler head-on. The F-250 continued westward. It collided with a 2021 Ford F-150 that had been following the 18-wheeler. The 18-wheeler partially rolled over into a ditch along the highway. DPS is investigating the crash.
