Calvin Douglas Killed in Victoria Motorcycle Accident
The 21-year-old collided with a pickup truck exiting an apartment complex on East Mockingbird Lane
Calvin Douglas, 21, was killed in a motorcycle crash on East Mockingbird Lane on Thursday, according to the Victoria Police Department.
The eastbound motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that was exiting an apartment complex driveway. The crash occurred around 7 p.m. in the 2400 block of the road. Paramedics took both drivers to a local hospital. Douglas later died from his injuries, police said.
The pickup truck driver's condition was not immediately released. The crash remains under investigation.
According to the Texas Department of Transportation, nearly 600 motorcyclists died in crashes across the state in 2023.
