Driver Killed in Birmingham Car Accident
The Jefferson County Coroner's Office identified the driver as Michelle Lee Herman, 61, of Birmingham, who died in an early morning crash on East Lake Boulevard.

The Early Morning Crash on East Lake Boulevard
The crash happened at about 5:01 a.m. in the 4400 block of East Lake Boulevard. Herman was driving one of the two vehicles involved. The coroner's office said she was pronounced dead at the scene roughly 40 minutes after the crash. Officials have not released details about the second vehicle or its driver.
