Dillon Jenkins, 24, of Shreveport, was killed in a motorcycle accident on Interstate 49 in Rapides Parish, Louisiana, early Monday, according to the State Police.
The northbound 2022 Kawasaki was rear-ended near mile marker 101 by a Dodge Ram that failed to slow down, investigators said. The impact ejected the rider into the path of a 2019 Toyota, which then struck him.
Paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.
The drivers of the Dodge and Toyota, who were both wearing seatbelts, were not injured.
No criminal charges or citations were immediately announced. Troopers from Troop E continue to investigate the sequence of events and whether impairment or distracted driving played a role.
