Police said the car was going west in the 700 block of Fountain Boulevard, then left the roadway, struck construction barricades and hit vehicles parked along the north curb. Fountain Boulevard stayed shut from Royer Street to Prospect Street for several hours and reopened at about 8:35 a.m. The driver's name has not been released.
