Eury Abreu Herrera Killed in West Palm Beach DUI Accident
Investigators report drugs and alcohol were a factor in the Southern Boulevard collision
Eury Abreu Herrera, 33, of West Palm Beach, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Southern Boulevard in West Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
A westbound 2023 Suzuki GSXR-1000 collided with a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado that had exited a parking lot and made a wide right turn across all lanes of traffic. The impact ejected the rider into the eastbound lanes. Paramedics pronounced Herrera dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck was not injured.
Investigators noted that drugs and alcohol were a factor in the crash, though no formal charges have been announced. The pickup driver came to a controlled stop in the median following the collision.
The crash temporarily closed portions of the road as traffic homicide investigators processed the scene. Local residents have expressed ongoing concerns about intersection safety along the corridor.
