Maria, of Orange County, was killed and three passengers were severely injured in a commercial vehicle collision involving a fleeing U-Haul truck at South Ola Vista and Avenida Granada in San Clemente on Monday, March 30, according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The driver of the stolen truck fled on foot immediately after the morning crash but was quickly taken into custody by pursuing deputies.
Rosa, Claudia, and Yessi, who were passengers in Maria's vehicle, were transported to a local hospital with severe, life-altering injuries.
