Joshua Severson, a 21-year-old driver from Paynesville, was injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 55 and County Road 66 in Paynesville on October 29, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
How the Highway 55 Collision Unfolded

Severson was taken to a hospital with injuries. The driver of the pickup, 42-year-old Bret Bergs of Hutchinson, and his two passengers were not hurt. The SUV driver, 25-year-old Courtney Stang of Richmond, was also not hurt.
What Is Known After the Paynesville Crash
The Minnesota State Patrol has not announced any charges in the crash. The patrol has not released details about Severson's injuries or his condition.
Roads are often closed for hours after a serious crash so investigators can measure and photograph the scene before anything is moved.

Emergency care. Emergency rooms must check and stabilize you, even if you can't pay. The bill comes later.
Your vehicle. Tow yards usually charge for every day a towed vehicle sits there.
Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
Insurance offer. You can turn down the insurer's first offer and ask for more.
