6 Injured in Niederwald Car Accident
The crash on State Highway 21 in Niederwald sent two people to hospitals by air and three more by ambulance.

How the Highway 21 Crash Left Six Hurt
The collision happened on Wednesday evening and involved three cars. Travis County Fire Rescue said crews arrived and found six patients who needed help. A helicopter from STARFlight carried one patient who had critical injuries, and an Air Life aircraft took another who was in serious condition. Three more patients went by ambulance to area hospitals, and the sixth person declined medical transport. Fire officials said every patient was freed from the vehicles.
What Is Known About the Highway 21 Response
Travis County Fire Rescue said it had help at the scene from Hays County EMS, Caldwell County EMS and Buda Fire EMS. State Highway 21 was closed in both directions between Schubert Lane and Niederwald Strasse while crews worked and investigators gathered information. The road has since reopened. No cause has been announced, and no charges have been reported.
