Bicyclist Injured in Mustang Accident
The bicyclist has been identified as Wyatt George, 16, who was hit on Mustang Road and had recently chosen to become an organ donor.
Wyatt George, 16, suffered a head injury in a bicycle crash on Mustang Road in Mustang on October 29.
What Happened on Mustang Road
George was riding his bike home on Thursday when a car hit him on Mustang Road. He had ridden to a new job that day and was expected home for dinner that night. His father said a paramedic answered when he called his son's phone and told him the head injury was serious. His father said George suffered catastrophic brain damage and will not recover. He described his son as someone who loved people, bikes and cars, and said George dreamed of becoming a mechanic.
What Comes Next for the Family
George decided two weeks earlier, while getting his learner's permit, to become an organ donor, and his father said he will now become one. His father said that choice has brought the family some peace as they prepare to say goodbye. The family set up an online fundraiser to cover George's hospital bills and other needs.
Which agency investigates often depends on where the crash happened. Highway crashes are often handled by state police or highway patrol, and crashes on city streets by local officers.

Here is what people in Oklahoma usually need, in the order it comes up.
Emergency care. Emergency rooms must check and stabilize you, even if you can't pay. The bill comes later.
Your belongings. A damaged bike, phone, or clothes can be part of what insurance pays for.
Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
Insurance offer. You can turn down the insurer's first offer and ask for more.
