The Early Morning Crash on Main Street
Officers were called to the area at about 12:20 a.m. and found two women who had been struck by a car. One of them was taken to a hospital, and police described her injuries as life-threatening. Police said she was later released. The second woman had minor injuries and declined to go to the hospital. Forest Grove police identified the driver as Julian Brito, 26, of Forest Grove, and said his blood alcohol content measured 0.22%.
Where the Forest Grove Police Case Stands
Police arrested Brito, and he was booked at the Washington County Jail on five counts: assault in the first and fourth degrees, driving under the influence, reckless endangering and reckless driving. Part of Main Street was closed for at least an hour while officers investigated. Police said anyone with information about the crash should reach out to the department.
An arrest at the scene is often only the first step. Formal charges are usually decided later by prosecutors.

Here is what people in Oregon usually need, in the order it comes up.
Emergency care. Emergency rooms must check and stabilize you, even if you can't pay. The bill comes later.
Your belongings. A damaged bike, phone, or clothes can be part of what insurance pays for.
Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
Insurance offer. You can turn down the insurer's first offer and ask for more.
