Two people were injured in a car crash at the intersection of Campbell Street and Ames Street in Rochester on October 28, according to Rochester police.
The Late-Night Campbell Street Collision
Police said the crash happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police said a Rochester police officer was responding to a call with the patrol vehicle's lights and siren on when the vehicle collided with another vehicle. Both the officer and a 47-year-old man were treated at nearby hospitals, and police said their injuries were minor. The traffic control lights at the intersection were damaged in the crash.
Where the Rochester Police Investigation Stands
Rochester police said the cause of the crash is still under investigation. No charges have been announced. Police have not released the names of the two people who were hurt.
Police usually wait to release the names of the people involved until their families have been told. That is why names often come out a day or more later.
