Two people were killed and a juvenile was injured in a two-vehicle car crash on North Holland Sylvania Road in Toledo on Thursday evening, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Evening Crash on North Holland Sylvania Road
The crash happened at about 5:54 p.m. near the intersection with Nebraska Avenue. The patrol said the Lucas County Sheriff's Office had tried to stop a 2018 Ford Escape driven by Bria E. Boone, 32, of Toledo, and that a pursuit followed on northbound I-475 before the Escape turned onto North Holland Sylvania Road. The patrol said the Escape then crossed into the opposing lane and struck a 2016 Honda CR-V driven by Laura J. Anaple, 64, of Toledo. Boone was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the CR-V, Anaple, was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center, where the patrol said she died of her injuries. A juvenile passenger in the Escape was taken to ProMedica Toledo Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Funeral costs. Every state has a victim fund that pays funeral costs after some crashes, and the fund decides who qualifies.
Survivor payments. If the person who died had worked, their spouse or children may get monthly Social Security payments. Applying early matters.
