Driver Killed in Yellowstone County Car Accident
The Yellowstone County coroner's office identified the driver as Adeline Deputee, 39, of Billings, whose SUV went into the Yellowstone River.
Adeline Deputee, 39, of Billings, was killed in a car crash on Bitterroot Drive in Yellowstone County on November 2, according to the Montana Highway Patrol.
How the Bitterroot Drive Crash Unfolded
The Montana Highway Patrol said Deputee was driving a Chevy Traverse south on Bitterroot Drive on the night of November 2. The patrol said she tried to make a right-hand turn when she reached the intersection with Yellowstone River Road. According to the patrol, the SUV left the roadway, went through a guardrail and dropped roughly 300 feet into the Yellowstone River. A Yellowstone County deputy coroner said Deputee was dead and that she was traveling alone.
What the Highway Patrol Is Still Reviewing
The Montana Highway Patrol said the crash remains under investigation. No charges have been announced.
Once a crash report is finished, the people involved and their families can usually request a copy from the agency that wrote it.
