Danielle Neri, 43, of Mendota, was taken to a hospital with a suspected head injury after a car crash on Chicago Road in DeKalb County on November 4, according to DeKalb County deputies.
What Happened on Chicago Road
Deputies were called to the single-vehicle crash at about 7:30 a.m. near the intersection of Chicago Road and East Sleepy Hollow Road. Investigators said Neri was driving a Ford Explorer eastbound when it struck two mailboxes, left the roadway and rolled over in a ditch. Paw Paw EMS transported Neri to a hospital nearby, and a crash report listed a suspected head injury. The SUV was towed from the scene.
What the Deputies' Report Shows So Far
According to the crash report, no citations have been issued at this time. No other vehicles or people were reported involved in the crash.
Police usually wait to release the names of the people involved until their families have been told. That is why names often come out a day or more later.

Your vehicle. Tow yards usually charge for every day a towed vehicle sits there.
Crash report. The crash report is usually ready a few weeks after the crash, and you can still get it later.
Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
