2 Injured in Grant County Truck Accident
The truck driver has been identified as Rigoberto Pruneda, 41, of Othello, who was hurt and taken to a hospital after the collision on SR 26 on Wednesday morning.
Two drivers were injured in a truck crash on SR 26 in Grant County on November 4, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The Morning Collision on SR 26
The Washington State Patrol said the crash happened at about 8:13 a.m. close to where SR 26 meets Road D Southeast, roughly 12 miles west of Othello. The driver of a 2014 Lexus IS, Leslie Villalobos, 23, was heading south on Road D Southeast toward SR 26, troopers said. The driver of the truck, Rigoberto Pruneda, 41, of Othello, was heading west on SR 26. Troopers said the front of the truck was struck by the Lexus, and the truck rolled over and stopped on the right shoulder. The Lexus stopped on that same shoulder.
Both drivers were taken to hospitals: Villalobos to Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake and Pruneda to Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland. Officials have not released the extent of their injuries. Both vehicles were reported as totaled.
Where the Washington State Patrol Inquiry Stands
The Washington State Patrol said charges are pending against Villalobos and has not announced what those charges may be. The patrol said drugs and alcohol were not contributing factors. Troopers are still investigating the crash.
A full investigation into a serious crash often takes weeks, and sometimes months. Investigators usually wait for vehicle data and lab results before they finish their report.

Hospital bills. Most hospitals have a program that cuts bills for people with low income, and you can apply months after the first bill.
